The stock of Sinopec Kantons has recently been included in the Hang Seng SCHK China Central SOEs ESG Leaders Index and Hang Seng SCHK SOEs High Dividend Yield ESG Index. This reflects the company’s remarkable achievements in corporate governance, market value management, ESG governance and dividend payouts are well recognized in the market.

The Hang Seng SCHK China Central SOEs ESG Leaders Index, which integrates ESG elements in the constituent selection process, was launched by the Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited in July 2023. It is aimed at reflecting the overall performance of the top 40 ESG leaders listed in Hong Kong with Chinese central state-owned enterprise (central SOE) as the largest shareholder and are eligible for trading under the Stock Connect Scheme. The Hang Seng SCHK SOEs High Dividend Yield ESG Index was one of the new indexes launched by the Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited in January 2024. It is aimed at reflecting the overall performance of 40 high-yield securities listed in Hong Kong with top-rated ESG performance and have Chinese government entities as their largest shareholders.
